Gustave Flaubert’s birthplace is now both a medical and literary museum with souvenirs and family portraits coupled with a surprising and unique medical collection which includes a six-patient bed, a leech perch, an 18th century birthing dummy, a piece that is unique in France. An extremely well thought-out museum with reconstructions that include an old-time pharmacy and a 1910 dental surgery ending with a visit to a traditional medicinal herb garden.
